Acquiring the Desert Island Recipe

Crafting the Desert Island
After collecting the required materials, craft the Desert Island by placing them in the appropriate pattern. Once crafted, find a suitable location on your island to place it. The Desert Island will enable you to begin farming sand, which unlocks the Sand Collection.
Unlocking the Soul Sand Trade
As you farm sand, you’ll progress through the Sand Collection tiers. Your goal is to reach the Soul Sand tier, which requires 250 sand. Keep farming until you’ve collected enough sand to unlock the Soul Sand trade in the Skyblock menu.

Gathering Fermented Spider Eye Ingredients
To complete the Soul Sand trade, you’ll need a fermented spider eye in addition to the sand. The fermented spider eye requires three ingredients: a brown mushroom, sugar, and a spider eye. You can find the brown mushroom and sugar in the Mushroom Desert, which is also where you can farm cacti.
Obtaining the Spider Eye
Next, head to the Spider’s Den to find a spider eye. Equip a sword that deals extra damage to spiders and silverfish, as it’ll make the task easier. Once you’ve arrived at the Spider’s Den, venture into the cave and defeat spiders until you’ve obtained a spider eye.
Crafting the Fermented Spider Eye and Trading for Soul Sand
With all three ingredients in hand, craft the fermented spider eye. Now, return to the Skyblock menu and access the Emerald section to trade for the Soul Sand. You’ll need the fermented spider eye and 250 sand to complete the trade.
